Your family might be lost in what seems like unending conflict, dysfunction, or confusion about a loved one’s mental health. Family therapy allows the family's relationships to be the conduit for change, leading to profound strengthening of family unity. Families can learn and practice new ways to resolve conflict, develop understanding about each other's mental health, or strengthen their ability to share deep, personal experiences with the rest of their family members.
How I Work With Families
I use Structural Theory to empower each family member to contribute to a family’s developing connection, support, and teamwork. This means I work with the family as a whole so that every member has a role in the therapeutic process. I encourage my family clients to use their sessions as opportunities to talk directly with one another, while I offer guidance on new strategies of relating to their loved ones.
