I chose to be a therapist after a decade of reading "Can This Marriage Be Saved?" in my mother's Ladies Home Journal.  I was drawn to the relationship dynamics and hopeful outcomes described in the column.  Now, my work continues to focus on those dynamics and that hope.  I enjoy working with couples and families because  I see the power of successful, healthy relationships.

Education and Experience

I graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a Master of Science in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy emphasis.  I completed my traineeship at Casa Youth Shelter in Los Alamitos, where I was a Staff Counselor who provided psychotherapy for teens in crisis and their families.  Currently, I work as a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist through the Institute of Advanced Studies, under the supervision of Mary M. Read, Ph.D., LMFT (license #25112).
